BK Traders Scrip
BK's is proud to introduce scrip. The scrip is intended to make it easier for friends & neighbors to trade with each other. Scrip takes less room in your pocket. Also, if you want to trade with someone, but don't have exactly the item they need, scrip may be acceptable.
There are three types of BK scrip, each of different worth.
- "hugs" are worth exactly 25 boards each
- "kisses" are worth exactly 40 slate each
- "biki's" are worth exactly 100 iron each
Any "hugs", "kisses" or "biki's" may be redeemed with BennuKhepri at any time she is at her estate, at 5073, -1810, CotS, for the amount listed above. The worth of each scrip is guaranteed by BennuKhepri. Before any bill of scrip is released into circulation, the exact amount of goods listed above is placed in a chest for safe keeping. In other words, someone must purchase the bill, before it is released into circulation. Those goods are not used in any way, are not removed from the chest, unless someone asks to redeem the bill. That way each bill is absolutely guaranteed in worth. The scrip does not generate any profit for BK Traders Guild. This is another public service from BK's.
AVOID COUNTERFIT SCRIP!!!!!!
It is only the guaranteed BK TRADERS SCRIP if it is spelled precisely as above.
BK Ladies Cotillion
BK Ladies Cotillion is a new guild associated with BK Traders.
The Mission of this guild is to assist the introduction of the new BK Scrips into circulation. To this end, the BK Ladies Cotillion will be sponsoring the following event(s). Anyone interested in participating in either of the following events, should join the guild hall located directly beside the Chariot Stop in CotS. Both Gentleman & Ladies are welcome to join. All members of "BK Ladies Cotillion" are referred to as "BK Ladies", regardless of gender.
A Special Note of Thanks to Xerlux, who has purchased the greatest total number of scrip-kisses to date--over 30!!! Watch out ladies! Xerlux reward has yet to be determined, but BK is cooking up something--that's for sure.
- RECENT EVENT: The Kissing Booth Event was held on December 11th, 2005. Thanks to many affectionate folks, it was very successful. BK's was able to introduce 96 kisses into circulation--all backed by the appropriate number of slate, held in the BK Vault. AudreyS redeemed the greatest number of kiss-TICKETS. She was awarded a dyed silk ribbon donated by the Pharoah himself. Greaterd was awarded as the top purchaser of the evening, and was the recipient of a group kiss. We enjoyed wine, hookah, and e-kisses. There was even a little belly dancing at the end of the evening. Thank you everyone for coming.
- UPCOMING EVENT: The BallGown Contest: You may enter sculpture ballgowns into a competition. (We suggest you apply for membership in BK Ladies Cotillion guildhall, beside the CotS chariot stop.) Event final vote counting to take place December 18th, 2005, 3:00pm EST. See below for special voting procedures

- GOWN CREATION TIPS:
- Each sculpture must be built beside a chest pre-built by BennuKhepri along the BROWN BRICK ROAD WHICH LEADS SOUTH FROM the CotS Chariot Stop , beginning about 4954, -2080 and continuing south. Only one gown entry to each chest, please. But you may have multiple gowns. The lady's gown may be made by her or by another party. Guilds are encouraged to sponsor a lady's gown.
- You may use all the time between now and the judging time to build the gown.
- So you can get into your gown later, BEFORE YOU BUILD THE GOWN, choose your spot, make a waypoint at the exact position of your gown is to be built; walk away; orient yourself in the correct direction (south is recommended for best lighting); waypoint back to the spot. You are now ready to begin building the dress.
- <b>Build the base of the gown on yourself, so that the gown will fit you.
- Once the base is done, you may step out of the gown to continue building it. In the final few hours before the judging, wp into your gown, so you can model it for the public.
- Caution: Avoid the "BUG". If you use multiple sculpture sites, avoid spreading to include much more land. Keep it tight, and oriented in the same direction. Otherwise, your gown will become mishaped and dishoveled.
- BennuKhepri has built example gowns at the contest site at . She built another example in front of her cp, for when you come over to buy scrip. BennuKhepri is NOT competing in the contest, however.
- Sponsorship: Guilds are encouraged to sponsor at least one lady for the contest.
- VOTING & JUDGING: Any Egyptian Citizen may vote for your gown by placing a scrip "kiss" in the chest beside a gown sculpture, at any time between now and the judging. The votes will be counted at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, December 18th, 2005. The sculpture with the most scrip "kisses" in its chest WINS THE CONTEST!!! The winner is named the "Bell of the Ball". At the end of the contest, every contestant may do what they will with the scip "kisses" deposited in their chest. Scrip "kisses" may be purchased from BennuKhepri at her estate at 5073, -1810, CotS, whenever she is home. Votes may be deposited beside a gown sculpture at any time from now to the judging time. BennuKhepri will also be available to sell scrip "kisses" for this event for the two hours preceding the judging. Good luck, ladies! :)
- PRIZES: Pharoah has donated prizes of dyed silk ribbons! There are 21 ribbons to be given to the first 21 participants, one each. You can wear a ribbon for 2 hours before it gets dirty and falls off. They blow very prettily in the wind, responding to the movements of your body. (hmmmm...has anyone tried belly dancing with these?) A group dance after the contest may be called for! :D ALSO, Subira, has very graciously donated a Beginners Bulb Kit, consisting of 12 bulbs and 5 Nut's Essence for breeding flowers.
